日本科学未来館で9月1日に開催されるイベント、アースラウンジ vol.5 ｢Earth Coding-地球を実装せよ｣（2006年度上期未踏ソフトウェア創造事業 北野PM 開発成果報告会）があります。
このイベントは、地球上の諸問題に対して、ITがどう貢献するか、開発、研究、ビジネスの立場で、情報技術、地球環境について実践的な取り組みを行うメンバーが集い議論するシンポジウムです。興味のある方は是非お越しください。
私はシンポジウムのサポーターの一人として、公式blogをshosiraさんと共に書かせて頂いています。
また当日は私も運営サポートとしても参加します。
今日は、情報教育セミナーのアシスタントに行ってきました。このセミナーは高校教諭が参加するもので内容は、高校での情報教育の今後の展開、入試科目としての「情報」から大学生として求められるITリテラシーについて、などのパネルディスカッションをするものでした。 私は教職課程を履修してなく、今セミナーには直接の関係はなかったのですが、聞いていてとても興味深かったです。特に印象に残ったのは、高校での情報教育の現状（充実してるとはいいがたいかもしれません。そのしわ寄せがめぐりめぐって大学教育にきているし、その分だけ研究界に入るのに遅れ、学部3、4年でやることを院でやることに・・・{考えすぎかな}）。まぁ、始まって5年のしかないからね（暗中模索な衒いがまだるかも）。しかし、その現状を大学と高校と教科書の出版社が連携して改善していこうと今回のような機会を設けているのは良いですね。この輪が広がっていくと良いですね。 私の方では、今春、情報科学科の同好会を組織する機会に恵まれました。その活動の一つとして私たちのほうからも、高校に出向いて啓蒙活動が出来ると良いな（草の根的な活動ですが）。大学と高校のつながりが密になれば、学生も進路決定にも役立つし、結果として大学入学後の学生と大学教育とのミスマッチも減るといいですね。
昨日、基本情報技術者試験の合格証書がとどいた。この時期になると合格しても、嬉しさよりも安堵感が先行する、そんな感じ。やっつけ仕事とまではいかないにしても、それに近いものがある。その安堵感を最初に感じたのは11日の合格発表ではなくて、試験後の自己採点後だった。
この試験の採点方法には特徴があり、1問の配点が受検者全員のその問題に対する正答率によって変動するIRT方式だとか。その為、単純に合格点をテスト問題数の正答率で決められないが、大体７割強正答すればOKらしい。
今年度は他にも色々取得予定のものがあるが、まぁ、なんだろうね、油断せずに、さくっと取っていこう。取得が目的でなく、単に目的達成の為の一目標で、その過程で培ったモノで何を成すかが大事だしね。

TV is the passive media that we only leave information received. On the other hand, the computer connected to the Internet is the active media at the point that it can retrieve what information we want to know.
Apparently, such computer is more effective than TV but both devices are only a tool. So, practicality depends on the user.
By the way, I'll pick up utility of computer with retrieval via the Internet.
There is enormous information in the Internet.
It means that what we'll know exist in it but at the same time, it's difficult to retrieve proper one. That to say we have such a plethora of choice and therefore, we don't know how to narrow the search to the proper result. This is the pitfall of freedom of choice.
Then, what can I do for it?
The overstuffed schedule will cause the debasement of individual task quality. In addition, the cause itself is assumed to be due to needless and meaningless play. I need to awake at it and need to replace it with the proper task.
It is meaningless only to think my long further aims idly.
It is important to set my aims but at the same time I should confirm my present condition.
Unless I set the standard where I am in any level, I'll be puzzled about what I should do from now on.
So How do I recognize my present position?
I suppose that I should write down everything to the notebook as far as I can come up with it.
Today, I went to bookstore to buy the English reference.
When I browsed and skimmed a certain book, the person who was Asian foreigner next to me asked me "Could you please read this author in English".
As the book's author that he pick up was written in Japanese katakana, I refer to the end of book and taught the author in English.
Afterwards, as he asked me what book is the best to learn in English, I and he discussed what book he wanted to buy.
After I explain the types of English reference including usage and I recommend some books.
Finally, he expressed gratitude to me and I said "You're welcome". Glad I could be of some help.
